Q :1 Why was Caliph Haroon-ur-Rasheed  known and respected  for?


Ans. Haroon-ur-Rasheed  was a great Muslim Caliph. He was a wise and just ruler. He was known and respected for his justice and  wisdom.

Q :2 Why did he go through the streets of Baghdad at night?


Ans. He was a wise and just ruler. He wanted to know the actual problems of the people. Therefore, he would go through the streets of Baghdad at night.


Q :3 What did the Caliph Haroon-ur-Rasheed say to the beggar after the settlement of dispute  ? OR  why did the Caliph order the beggar to ask forgiveness of the rich man?


Ans.  It was proved that the beggar was a liar and a wicked man. He tried to rob an honest citizen. So the Caliph order him to ask for forgiveness of the rich man.

Q :4 How did the Caliph discover the real owner of the horse? OR  How did the find out the real owner of the horse?


Ans. The Caliph ordered both the persons to touch the horse one by one. When the beggar touched the horse, it winced. But at the touch of the rich man’s hand, the horse snorted and neighed with pleasure. Hence the Caliph discovered that the rich man was the real owner of the horse.
